Grid Blast Wiki
How to play
Master the core loop in under a minute — then spend the rest of the run chasing combos.
Goal
Score as many points as possible before the board runs out of valid moves. Your best score is saved locally on the device.
Controls
- Drag a piece from the bottom tray onto the board. A ghost preview shows where it will land; valid placements glow, invalid ones appear red.
- Tap a tray piece (without dragging) to rotate it 90° clockwise. You can rotate before or during a drag.
- Swap tray slots by dragging one piece onto another piece's slot without placing it on the board.
The board
The playfield is an 8×8 grid. Each cell either holds a gem tile or stays empty. Once placed, tiles stay until cleared by a full row or column. You cannot move tiles after placement.
The tray
Three random polyomino shapes appear in the tray. When all three are used, a fresh set of three is dealt automatically. Shapes range from single cells to tetromino-style blocks in eight colors.
Line clears
After each placement, the game checks every row and column. Any line that is completely filled is removed at once — rows and columns can clear in the same turn for a multi-line bonus.
Game over
If none of your remaining tray pieces (in any rotation) can fit anywhere on the board, the run ends. Rewarded continue options may appear depending on the portal — see Mechanics for details.
